Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 ensures that rheoplastic concrete remains workable in excess of 2 hours at 25°C. Workability loss is dependent on temperature, and on the type of cement, the nature of aggregates, the method of transport and initial workability. It is strongly recommended that concrete should be properly cured particularly in hot, windy and dry climates.
The optimum dosage of Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 should be determined by site trial with the particular concrete mix.As a guide, a dosage range of 0.5% to 1.5% per 100kg of cementitious material is recommended. This dosage range applies for most concrete mixtures using typical concrete ingredients. However, variations in job conditions and concrete materials, such as silica fume, may require dosages outside of the recommended range.
Effects of over dosage
Overdosing of Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 may result into segregation / bleeding of mix, delayed initial, final set, increased plastic shrinkage and air-entrainment, etc.
Note: A slight overdosing may not adversely affect the ultimate strength of the concrete and can achieve higher strengths than normal concrete, provided it is properly compacted and cured. Due allowance should be made for the effect of fluid concrete pressure on form work, and stripping times should be monitored. In the event of over dosage, consult our representative immediately.
Method of use:
Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 is supplied ready for use liquid which is dispensed into the concrete together with the mixing water. The plasticising effect and water reduction are higher if the admixture is added to the damp concrete after 50 to 70% of the mixing water has been added. For maximum dispersion throughout the mix, measured quantity of Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 should be added directly into the mixer at the same time as the mixing water. Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 Admixture should not be added to the dry cement or mix. Thorough mixing is essential and a minimum mixing cycle, after the addition of the. Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300, of 60 seconds for forced action mixers is recommended.

Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 must be stored within moderate temperature, under cover, away from direct sunlight.
The shelf life is 12 months from the date of production under suitable storage conditions.

Sterling® ConFlow® RS-300 is formulated from chemicals which present no fire or health hazards. Does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and goggles should be worn. Protect yourself and others on the jobsite. Consider property in proximity of the application area to prevent loss or damage. Protect your jobsite from unauthorized persons. Store all materials and equipment safely and out of reach of children and animals. Observe container labels, SDS, applicable laws and regulations and all instructions before using the product and equipment. In case one of the components comes in contact with the skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Provide adequate ventilation in volume and pattern in working area.
